Installation in the ‘Koninklijke Gaanderijen’ (the Royal Galleries), near the seaside in Ostend. A large series of photographs, billboard-size (300 × 420 cm / )and printed on plastified canvas, were installed in the different niches of this historical public gallery. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s idea of the ‘linecity’, all the pictures were taken from different appartments along the Belgian coast (the so-called ‘Atlantic Wall’). We get to see a range of stereotype interiors, but what is defining and uniting these images is their wide view towards the open sea and above all: a common horizon. On one line.
